Lori Poff Kellogg Canvas

Hi, I’m Lori Poff Kellogg — intuitive artist, creative mentor, and woman who’s learned that paint can say the things words cannot.

For a long time, I felt like the background character in everyone else’s story — the helper, the listener, the one holding everything together. I was proud of being dependable, but somewhere along the way, I stopped hearing my own voice. When life got hard, I forgot how to dream…how to play…how to be me.

When I finally turned to art, I wasn’t trying to make something beautiful. I was trying to breathe.

It started with color …drawing a little…a few brushstrokes when words felt too heavy… and quite unexpectedly…something shifted.

I discovered that creativity reaches places in us that language can’t.

It loosens what’s stuck. It softens what’s guarded. It reconnects us with the self we’ve been too busy to notice.

That’s when I realized that creativity isn’t a luxury reserved for “spare time.” It’s a healing modality…one that integrates the mind, body, and spirit in ways that nothing else can. What was once a pastime became therapy, liberation, and self-discovery all rolled into one.

It turns out, painting is more than just a product to sell; it’s an invitation to meet yourself on the canvas. And let me tell you, that meeting changed everything.

Today, that understanding shapes everything I teach. I don’t teach people how to paint pretty pictures — I teach them how to paint their way home. My courses and circles invite you to create not for perfection, but for transformation… to use the canvas as a mirror, a prayer, a playground, and a path.

If we ever meet, there’s a good chance I’ll have paint on my hands and laughter in my voice, because I’m still learning too… still discovering that each layer of color holds another layer of truth.

You don’t have to know where to begin. You just have to be willing to show up, listen, and let your art lead you home.

Let’s make some art—and maybe even a little sense of life—together.
